Wow, what a great experience I have found out who invented all the objects we still use today. I have experienced what life was like before all the things we take for granted was like. Also I have experienced the impact on people that these inventions have had. I have met the children that grew up with it and the effect it had on them. This was a great experience that I believe everyone at Mars High should have. I cannot wait to arrive back and share my knowledge of this event.

Diesel Engine
Rudolf
Diesel today invented the Diesel Engine. This engine is the first that
proves that fuel can be ignited without a spark. This invention is still
commonly used today although they are refined and improved versions of
Rudolf Diesel's original concept. They are often used in submarines, ships,
locomotives, and large trucks and in electric generating plants.
Zeppelin
I was looking up into the sky today and noticed a large
airship. The Zeppelin is a large German dirigible airship, long and
cylindrical in shape and with a rigid
framework invented by Ferdinand
Zeppelin. Today Zeppelin flew the world's first untethered rigid
airship, the LZ-1, carrying five passengers.
Ford Model T
Horse and carriage will soon be replaced. Today Henry Ford revolutionised auto-mobiles. He was an American inventor who created the first Ford Model T. He revolutionized the manufacturing of the automobile and used the assembly line to increase production. He famously quoted customers can have any colour car as long as it is black.
Light Bulb
Finally I can stop using my Itorch it is really draining my battery. Thomas Edison is an American inventor. Today he invented the light bulb. This a much more cheaper and safer option than a candle which people at the present time are using to see when it becomes dark.
Telephone
It is a long way of from the smart phones we have but the first phone was invented today. Alexander Graham Bell is Scottish scientist and inventor who created the first telephone. Not sure whether his on Telstra but I will certainly try to get his number.

No More Sickness
You may not know it but many of the common diseases and illness we get people died from before the industrial revolution. The main reason we now survive this is all thanks to Louis Pasteur. He was a Chemist who used experiments which supported the Germ Theory of Disease. He created vaccines for multiple common and rarer diseases. Without these vaccines countless lives would have been lost.
Improved Manufacturing of Steel
Looks like we will be seeing a lot more steel around here. Just today Henry Bessemer established the Bessemer Method of processing iron. This will surely help revolutionize the steel industry because it makes producing steel cheaper by using molten pig iron. I might be bringing home a steel sword if progress continues.
Here is how it works

Looks like clothes are going to be produced a lot quicker! Thanks to James Hargreaves the Spinning Jenny will help many people sew many things. Not only this but it will also strongly accelerate the process. This invention will revolutionise the textile industry. His invention definitely will push and improve the Industrial Revolution.

Thomas Newcomen's invention of the Steam Engine
Finally we can start receiving some power down here. My iPod is almost flat. The first steam engine was invented today Thomas Newcomen created the first steam engine which was used to pump water out of the mines. He is less known for inventing the steam engine compared to James Watt, who only bettered the Newcomen model. Newcomen helped begin the Industrial Revolution with this invention of steam power.

A major historical event happened today! Jethro Tull's invention of the Seed Drill. He helped begin the Agriculture Revolution which helped stablize the food supply for the Industrial Revolution. This invention helped culitvate the land faster and more efficently.
